FUNCTION >> FORM
One of the most important reasons behind our success in building effective
Web sites and marketing materials is that we rigorously work to identify our
clients' goals and business model. Then, we get creative. We like to say that
"form follows function".
Please take a look at the examples below. Each one demonstrates how
a thorough understanding of function guided us through the development
process.
Example 1: Apartment Finder:
We work for a number of clients
in the property-management field. One obstacle that they face is their conversion
ratio, from prospects to signed leases. Showing apartments costs them a lot
of staff time; anything that can be done to expedite this process is vital.

The above menu was developed for a client's Home Page. With
a few quick clicks, prospects can select a Rental Amount, Number of Bedrooms
and then click the Search Button. The resulting page shows them a list of relevant
units organized by availability date.
Example 2: Searchable Directory:
Another client, a large Homeowner's Association, requested a Private Document
Repository for meeting minutes, agendas and other Association materials. They
also wanted to grant individual access to the files.

Because
it was necessary to store contact information for each user in this private
area, we suggested they add a "Neighborhood Search" to maximize
the benefit to their users. Now, when members login, they have the ability to
see a catalog of Association materials, and find
their neighbor's phone number!
Example 3: Newsletter Archive:
A popular request we receive from clients is to produce a monthly newsletter.
This particular client requested that we give their Web site a face-lift.
To give them the most mileage, we recommended featuring their past newsletters on the newly-redesigned site.

Having the newsletters available on their site gives new members
the benefit of reading past tips and helps increase the site's exposure
to search engines.
